Vizzulin Cabernet Sauvignon Barrique
Grapes for this wine are harvested and selected manually. Fermentation and maceration in vinificators last from 7 to 10 days at lower temperatures in order to improve an aromatic component of the wine. After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation under controlled conditions wines are dispersed in barrique barrels of 225 L made of Slavonian, American and French oak. Process lasts 24 to 28 months. The aim is to soften and to round off the tannin component of wine and at the same time to provide optimal influence of wood on the wine.
The smell notes of smoke, vanilla and spices that the wine gains by maturing in wooden barrels promotes natural fruitiness of the wine. When aged enough the wine is filled in bottles in which it holds at least 6 months before entering the commercial market.
The color of Vizzulin Cabernet Sauvignon Barrique is dark purple-red. Rich, full and strong body. Slightly pronounced freshness. It is a wine of extremely rich structure with plenty of ripe and rounded tannins. The scents are fruity where the aromas of ripe plums, cherries and red currants combine with seasonal notes of green pepper and tobacco.
Vizzulin Cabernet sauvignon barrique is an ideal accompaniment for barbecued meals from meat dishes to blue fish.
